The added value of our valuation report
With over twenty years experience, our valuation report provides the information you require, allowing you to make informed decisions
Numbering items of value - Why do we do this?
Ease of identification
Most of our competitors probate valuations provide a list of items, which is fine providing you know your Purdonium from your Wick Trimmer and your Barograph from your Horn Snuff Mull. A physically numbered inventory, with accompanying images, room location and HMRC categorisation removes all doubt allowing each item of value to be simply and quickly identified. Included when appropriate with every valuation.
Bequests and family division
We can highlight any bequests in the valuation from information in the Will. Our valuation can assist with dividing items amongst family, avoiding mistakes as each item of value is numbered when confusion could occur, imaged and described, separated by room name. Save time, avoid misunderstandings and upset.
Consignment to auction
Removal companies charge for their time. From experience our valuation reduces hauliers time at the property searching for items from a twenty page valuation. If we are instructed to oversee auction consignment we provide a numbered inventory of items to be signed for by the haulier on collection and checked by the auction house on delivery.
An image of every item we value - Why do we do this?
Assists with identification
When you are faced with twenty similar looking rings that your valuer has identified, before returning them to the jewellery box, suddenly the importance of a physically numbered and imaged inventory becomes clear. We have refined the valuation process so that any increase in time taken to number and image each item (with jewellery bagged as above) is more than compensated for by the time savings at each stage of post-valuation interaction, whether that be executors sorting items for bequests or hauliers collecting items.
Saves time, reduces costs
Looking for a needle in a haystack? Imagine doing that when you have no idea what a needle looks like? Our valuation format keeps things simple so that it can be interpreted without the need for a gemmological certificate or an understanding of exotic hardwood veneers. Whether you are an executor locating bequests, a haulier looking for items due to be sent to auction, a probate practitioner keeping track of sales or simply to assist family members dividing things amongst relatives, our home contents valuation report makes everyone’s life easer.
Accountability
A physically numbered and imaged inventory alleviates the need for third party knowledge. We instruct our trusted carrier partners to collect specific numbered items with an image to assist them, for which they sign, so that there is no risk of misinterpretation or confusion with similar items.
This valuation format is the result of twenty years of experience, creating a product that meets the needs of our probate practitioners clients. Your clients are what we value most.
