This is where the headache begins. Comparing a valuation description against the auction house catalogue or post sale results notification is not always straight forward. Just ask any probate practitioner about the joy of trawling through a twenty page probate valuation, trying to cross reference the items to auction house sales results notifications, perhaps for sales held at different venues, often months apart. The larger the estate, the more difficult the task becomes. With twenty years auction house experience we have the skill to bring it all together, or if you prefer, to see the wood from the trees.
This service is only available when we have been instructed to oversee the consignment of items to auction, as that instruction provides us with the authority to communicate with the various auction houses involved and gain access to the relevant data to oversee the reconciliation. £125 per hour (pro-rata) with a minimum £50 fee.
